Go early for lunch because there are long queues. The club sandwiches are fantastically tasty and huge. The bread is cut thick as a doorstep and the fillings are packed in.
Plenty of choice for veggies too.

The people who work here have had a profound impact on my life in the last year and a half. Not in the ways I expected, but more through the people I have met and I will be eternally grateful to them. So I was shocked to learn that they are a front for the Gerard Way fan club.

Two curries for £5.95. The Karaoke. Oh, God. No, just no. Plenty of wierdos who’ll hustle you at pool. Apparently this place is going to change its name soon and patrons get to vote.

I got blind drunk and nearly ended up in a fight that my brother seemed intent on starting. My brother is a fighter.

This is my home town. Just a quiet little seaside town, a bit posh, plenty of golf courses, churches and pubs. Not a lot to do.

The ABC used to be a cinema, now converted into a music venue and club. The ABC1 upstairs is big and spacious with a great, open, almost chilling atmosphere; downstairs is ABC2 which is a smaller room for quirkier acts. I’m not so keen on the layout of the latter but I’ve been to many great gigs in both.

Cafe Andaluz started in the West End just off Byres Road but they have opened a second one in the city centre. The food is excellent, lots of little tapas dishes, and the interior is very swish. I went with some friends and we got about two dishes each but to be honest I could have eaten more. You can also order a big dish of paella as a proper size course but it’s fun picking and choosing from lots of little things. Service was very quick and efficient.
