My ancestors lived in Tazewell County. Near the Clinch River, in an area called Deskins Valley. I’d love to see it, and of course, do some research!

The government stole my home for a ridiculously low price and NASCAR moved in. Yes, it is good for the economy, but after more than 7 years, I still miss my house…. :(

I worked at Sandstone when it first opened. It was a good summer job for a teen. I’m still confused about them changing the name. Best concert I ever saw, was one when I was working, Guns n Roses opened for Aerosmith. That was awesome, and yes, I’m old :P

As well as visiting the theater, I strongly recommend going to the small room that Lincoln died in. It definitely gives a feel for the times, the stained pillowcase and all!

It was so cool! The dinosaurs, the planes, the rare stones, the Americana…. I saw Archie Bunker’s chair! OK, if you don’t know who Archie Bunker was, I don’t want to know….. LOL It was quite memorable for a small town 16 yr old girl from Kansas, and NO, I’m not saying how long ago that was!! LOL
