This is my favorite place in all of Seattle. I could sit there all day and watch bosts go through the locks. I think my favorite time to go is in the evening in September when the evenings are startign to get cool. That time of year it’s not too crowded and the locks are full of Salmon swimming upstream.

My husband and I are going to have dinner there April 30, 2007 (next Monday) for our 2nd wedding anniversary. It looks like the weather is predicted to be somewhat cloudy. I hope it will be clear enough to see the sunset.

During the movie the largest rat (as long as a grown man’s forearm) I have ever seen scurried across the wall of the theater – twice! Some people got up and left (it was almost the end of the movie so we stuck it out). On the way out we stopped to talk to the manager but kept going when he was already speaking to another patron; we overheard him explain that they know about the rats and that it is an ongoing problem. They offered no refunds and no apologies. Metro is the closest movie theater to our house, but I am certain that we will not be returning, it’s worth the extra drive to not have to worry about being bitten while watching a movie!

My husband and I will be going to Kansas City for his step-brother’s wedding in January, 2007.

My brother got married there. It was a pretty good time. My sister wrestled me to the ground for the bouquet, I got really drunk and fell of a ramp. What could be bad about any of that?

The punchbowl thing wasn’t too happenin’ when we were there, but we did see some whales there and that was pretty cool.

Inside the vaults was the only place on the tour that I got completely creeped out. I was standing toward the back of the crowd – not at the very back, cause you never know who (or what) might sneak up on you – in the last room of the underground vaults. As the tourguide was talking someone stepped in front of me (I’m 5’2” so standing at the back is not conducive to seeing) so my view was cut off. I stood up on my tiptoes and craned my neck to see around the tall person in front of me. When I could see the young, blonde tourguide again her face had transformed into that of an old hag, wrinkled with grey hair. I was surprised and lost my footing. When I looked back again her face had gone back to normal. I was freaked out. I didn’t tell the tourguide what I had seen, I didn’t even tell my boyfriend until we were well on our way back to the hotel.

I was there for my cousin, Maureen’s wedding. I think that was the last time.

Was the same night I Elvis Costello in concert for the first time.
