I drove up to Maine during college with some guys. We went to this guy’s family farm. We had gallons of beer and Jaegermeister and a hankerin’ for mischief. We drank ourselves silly around a bonfire and slamdancing to the violent femmes. I caught an elbow in the teeth and chipped one.
over 5 years agoEating in Honolulu is not cheap. The key is to find cheap places to eat, and there are some if you know where to look. For instance, there used to be a YMCA near the Ala Moana Center [a mall] that served breakfast for around $4. Ask locals for advice, get away from Waikiki, and save your money for other things like mai tais.
over 5 years agoI went to Navy boot camp here, so that colors my dim view of the place.
