Lovely slice of podunk.

I love Lousiville, been there many time and always look forward to it. It’s got a great history and a great now, too.

Oh gosh. The art, the history, the buildings.

I want to go back so bad.

The water is beautiful. St. Thomas is crowded with tourists from cruise ships during the day at the shopping district by the harbor, but St. John is equally gorgeous and almost remote.

Ride Marta to it, it’s not a long walk.

Listed as a vacation destination in The Official Preppy Handbook, the St. Simons has been a once or twice yearly thing for my family for generations before I entered the picture.

King and Prince Hotel is historic and beautiful, shopping on the pier is excellent and Benny’s Red Barn for dinner would never be a mistake.

Very casual, old-school beach atmosphere made better by Spanish moss-laden live oaks all around. The Atlantic is cold and austere, but I don’t think is worth skipping out on.
