Guten Tag! I am from the USA, but I travelled to Germany to visit an ex-boyfriend, and a really close friend (who is like a cousin to me). It was white aspargus season, so I thankfully, will never forget the German word for asparagus-“Spargel”. This word was everywhere. The trip was a blast.
