Oh..even though I only get to come back to you every 4/5 years for a quick visit, you will always be my birthplace and one that I’ve fallen in love with more and more as I grow older. It’s the first “city” I’ve ever really enjoyed being in..the lights, the food, the bustling crowds.. and of course, family. Being an FOB-ABC is something I actually am proud of!
over 6 years agoIt’s one of those places I never thought i would end up…but college landed me here.. and as much as I loved the size of the school and it’s suburbian quality, I missed the raw beauty and adventure and culture of New Orleans. Having graduated..I can’t wait to get out of here… it’s eating me alive.
over 6 years agoI’ve always been a die-hard Southern girl, and all my previous (twice) visits to NY made me want to never most to the North. The place scared me to death. But I went again this summer. Maybe it was cuz I was older, maybe it’s because I wandered the city with a guy/tourist I just met and it ended up being one of the best weekends I’ve had in a long time…so much so that I ’m actually considering moving there. i NEED that excitement, the challenge, the diversity, the utter LIVING of it all..so I, a girl who always refused to think about living in the north, has fallen in love.
