Los Angeles, Los Angeles County

so big.. so much stuff to do

I was in LA for nearly a week, which is usually enough time for me to explore around a city. Not so with L.A., the place is humongous. I didn’t even get to see all the “touristy” things. I’m a big museum freak, so I kind of got carried away there, but damn, it’s unusual to have that much great art in one city.

Of course, the traffic is infamous. I’m not used to having to drive so much to get everywhere, but it was a welcome change to see people driving fast on the freeway- like 80-90mph average. Either way, it still blows my mind thinking about how big that place is- Korea town seemed like it was as big as downtown of most cities, and it took me about an hour to drive from Glendale (where I was staying) to Venice, and they’re arguably both “in LA”.

Wow, so much to do, so much to see

Freeway Park, Downtown

nice, but sometimes scary

I live about 2 blocks up the hill from this park. It’s nice to walk around, and there are plenty of places to relax. It also has access to the Convention Center, so it’s a nice way to cut through when going to the shops on Pike and Pine.

At night though, because of the architecture it gets scary. There are lots of dark places for people to hide and jump out at you (even though I’ve never heard of it happening)

Temecula, Riverside County

wineries

Not too far from San Diego, and the wineries were not very busy when I went. More for me!
