Reading Terminal Market, Market East

Untitled

This place is fantastic. Make sure you’re hungry when you go; there’s just too many delectable items to sample. Make sure you get a fresh Amish-made pretzel. They’re worth the wait in line and you can watch them spin the dough, tie the knot and cook ’em up. :)

International Spy Museum, Penn Quarter

More fun than you could shake a hidden microphone at

The ISpy Museum is incredibly fun. Be sure to alot yourself plenty of time so you don’t have to rush – the first half of the museum is very interactive, and you will actually take on a secret identity with facts that you’ll have to remember. You’ll also get a chance to take observational and situational tests that will determine your “spy aptitude.” Also make sure to hunt for the spot where you can crawl through the air ducts. You’ll climb up into the ducts and you’ll be able to peek out the air vents at the people and the museum below. It feels just like you’re in Die Hard!

Also, if you have time, the Spy Museum’s upscale restaurant, Zola, is worth checking out even if just for the ambience. Some of the entrees can be hit or miss, but the bar is fantastic and the decor makes you feel like you’re in a spy novel. Make sure you visit the restroom! They have the world’s coolest doors. Enjoy!

Sleepy Hollow, Westchester County

Untitled

The town itself is pretty run down and not that interesting, but it’s worth visiting just to see Sleepy Hollow cemetery and Washington Irving’s grave.
