Snowy

Lapland is an amazing place to go. Skiing is also fun, and so is building giant roadblocks. Missing the only bus for several hours to the ski slope is not.

Good wildlife here. Just avoid eating out if possible – especially meat or fish – and keep a mosquito net handy. Make sure to visit the capital (Kampala).

Stay here

The Painted Turtle Guesthouse (in Nanaimo) is the best hostel I’ve been to during my holidays in Canada. Free internet! :) (Not to mention that it’s only 5 minutes walk from a great cafe)
