Montana de Fuego!
An active volcano you can actually go into! You walk into the crater and you can smell the sulphur, feel the heat and see the gases coming out of the crevasses! I’m a volcano nut so I enjoyed it immensely! You can also go for a cross-country, four-wheel-drive trek across the lava fields! There are restaurants in the Timanfaya National Park where you can order steak and they’ll cook it over an active volcanic vent! You pour water on one of those things and it evaporates instantly! Another point of interest… they have cochineal beetles on Lanzarote! Funky little bugs! :D Lanzarote is an amazing place… I certainly would love to go back and learn more about everything it has to offer!
