Tallinn

(in Estonia)

Worth visiting!

Untitled

Postcommunist country who tries very hard to pull its country together.

A lot of old cobblestone pathways, has “old town” along wtih “new town”... does have a lot of tourist traps, so what.

A very interesting city… people were friendly. not bad.
Went in july via a cruise from helsinki, Finland just for a day trip.

Paris

Worth visiting!

Paris, paris! ... hmm, that’s all?
Drab city, snotty people (I am Deaf, mind you, and French people don’t like me using my hands to communite rather than trying to assimilate ymself as a hearing person), and lousy directions.
But hey, I cannot complain about Lourve, D’Orsay and many other museums. I get in for free because according to the French, I am an “invalides”.... yessire, an invalid because of my Deafness. Had to laugh but hey, you gotta accept all freebies handed to you—that is DEAF CULTURE!!! (joke joke joke, not for real folks…)
Did celebrate NYE in Paris—was fun to see Parisan and tourist mingling at the Eiffel waiting for the fireworks.
Didn’t eat any French food (where are they among BurgerKing, KFC, and more?!)... I dont even get a chance to eat crepes until in venice! D’oh….

But I had to tell you something abou tFrench people—true story—in a McDonalds on Champs-Elysses, there was a french couple, decked out in jewelry and top-designers attire… and they were romantically feeding eachother FRIES….
What the fuck is it about Parisians finding eveyrhting erotic, even a fucking McDonald fry??? totally lame…

London

Worth visiting!

Untitled

First time—age 8. Didn’t see Big Ben. Bummer. Food was weird, even at McDonalds. Went to a Deaf school. Their ABC’s are differnet from America…hmm.
Last time—age 21. Met up with a Deaf friend who knows BSL and ASL who lives in London. Guided us around. Went to Nick’s park—THE BEST SPOT IN THE WIDE WORLD! Saw BigBen. Score. I love my quirky Brit and I love London all over again.

Tijuana

Not worth visiting!

The last time I went to this place

You want the “real mexico”? go beyond tijuana. You want to see how America destory a third-world country? Tijuana is at your doorstep.
Horrid sights every time I went here.
Last time was when I was 17—I happened to walk across the bridge with several out-of-country visitors when a mother of four small kids decided to jump off the bridge (at the border) and ended up only breaking her legs… so the local cops came around to arrest her while her poor small children just looked.
HORRIBLE CITY.

And it snowed when I was at Grand Canyon!
SUCH A BLAST!

Las Vegas

Not worth visiting!

You are under 21? Forget it. You don’t drink? Forget it. You don’t gamble? Forget it. Their buffets are overpriced.
Las Vegas are for superfacial people.

Anchorage

Worth visiting!

Untitled

Fun city to visit during wintertime!

Tip—make sure you got a friend or family in Anchorage because otherwise, you are stuck.
Moose trampling around parking lots near apartments, fireworks on NYE, and… LOTTA OF SNOW! (I am from So California…)

there are plenty of national parks to visit. I went to Homer, Alaska, and various of nearby parks around Anchorage. Got a brother stationed there. Stayed in Alaska for three months during a summer (omg, sun never went down), and three weeks during wintertime (blizzards rule!).

No friends or family to keep you busy? All you will see are drunkards and homeless. Really sad—life’s hard in Anchorage where there are only military people and locals.

Washington, D.C.

Not worth visiting!

Untitled

The only PRO about DC is free art museums.
That is it.
The city is drab. The people—BLEH! They are too obsessed with government. WHERE ARE THE NORMAL PEOPLE—let alone ALIVE BREATHING ARTISTS?!

and the most SAD thing is—I AM MOVING THERE!! For sake of my husband who wants to go to a PH.d program in DC…
Woe is me…

Boston

Worth visiting!

Untitled

Went here on a eighth-grade trip. Will like to return to see the sights again—I think I fooled too much with classmates…
however I am not interested in bar-hopping. Everybody from Boston that I have met is an alcoholic. All they talked about is bars, bars bars, abrs and how Boston have the best bars.
Sorry, a teetotaller here so whatever…

Philadelphia

Worth visiting!

Loved the Philly steakburger. historical sites, WONDERFUL! I fell in love with Philly’s subculture. People are so casual and unique. Will want to go back to check out museums (last time I went was when I was 15)

I will definitely want to live there someday.
