i live here… and cant wait to leave
its a nice quiet town in rappahannock
there is NOTHING here… a couple of general stores… a gas station, post office and motorcycle shop… not even a stop light
however, if you pay enough attention, we are featured in michael moore’s Fahrenheit 911… when theyre talking about terrorist chatter and how they werent sure if they were talking about rappahannock or tappahannock… moore is standing next to the “welcome to amissville” sign
and thats pretty much all there is to amissville

my husband was born in the general area and lived there until he was about 21… i really hate going there. i only ever go for him. there is NOTHING there. its very southern in all senses of the word… i dont really fit in there and get a lot of bizarre looks when i am there. i wouldnt suggest going with out a damn good reason.

i lived in mesa [red mountain area] with my aunt for a little over a year
i love the weather!
its a nice little town
a little too morman for me, but i still loved it
there is a lot of hidden culture there
its close to the national park, phoenix zoo and the botanical gardens
all kinds of stuff

i marked minot as worth visiting… but im completely biased. the town itself is nothing special… just your average american metropolitan area… except for the fact that it hits inhumanely arctic temperatures in the winter. the reason i went to minot was that my fiance… now husband… is stationed there at the air force base. we got married in the minot court house and that was the first time i had seen him in about 5 months. so in my own little world, it was definitely worth it. after i finish my degree this spring i will then be moving to minot… i might change my mind then.
