Best part of the Outer Banks

I went there with family over Christmas (of all times). It was deserted and cold and windswept and beautiful. The house we rented was right at the edge of a huge salt marsh; the grasses would wave rhythmically in the wind under the most incredible soft half-light. So peaceful.

Great Town

Was only here for an afternoon, but if you go, you must go to Square Books! One of the best independent bookstores in the country. Really great vibe.
