I much agree with one of the other posters. Visit Cannon Beach instead.

One of those middle America towns for middle America people, there is nothing remarkable or noteworthy about Longview, Washington.

There’s only one reason to visit Skagit Valley – the scenery. If you love beautiful rolling hills covered with trees and landscapes dotted with old farms, this is the place to be. However, if you’re a warm-blooded creature who happens to want creature comforts, this isn’t the place for you.

Astoria is a sleepy town at the mouth of the Columbia. Stay at one of the many B&Bs for some R&R, climb the Astor Tower on a clear day for stunning views of the ocean and surrounding countryside. Just a short drive to many ocean beaches and even more camping sites, Astoria is a vacation destination well-suited to those who are looking for something laid back.

The weather can be quite bleak, so come prepared for foul weather if rain is predicted.

Espresso Vivace makes some of the best coffee in Seattle. Their baristas are experienced and friendly. A good place to hang out and write or chat with friends.

Ruby has the best chicken curry I’ve ever had. Their large portions are very generous – more than enough for dinner and lunch the next day.

The decorating scheme is shabby chic, a good place to hang out with friends.

I lived in Seattle between 97 and 99. It’s a lovely city and a wonderful place to visit.

I work in SF, in the Financial District. I love San Francisco and I plan on moving back next summer (2006).
