If you ever have the opportunity to go here, then take it! I cannot describe in words how beautiful the snow covered mountains look. I spent about 2 weeks at McMurdo Station during their summer (which takes place during our winter) and the weather wasn’t as bad as I anticipated. Unfortunately, I did not see any penguins :(

I wandered this awesome city in the Summer of 2002. I would give anything to go back. There’s lots to see, and it is relatively easy to use subway to find these places. Lots of people speak english here, so if you lack the spanish speaking skills, you won’t have too much of a problem.
