Because on one Monday night each month they host Porchlight Stories. A pre-selected group of storytellers, professional and amateur, get up and tell stories on a specific theme. It can be funny, embarrassing, anything.

The best part the night I went (animal stories) was the part when one volunteer from the audience is chosen at random to tell their own story. The gal who got up there brought down the house. She was a riot.

It’s not open for dinner. The hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Go early (nothing like clam chowder and an Anchor Steam for breakfast!) or be prepared to wait — there’s usually a line down the sidewalk!
