Worth visiting!
A review of this place: Small, but interesting
Made even smaller by their current renovations, but it’s still worth a look.

After the way he’s acted recently, I no longer have any desire to ever go to the Clinton Library.

I can’t believe how awful this place has gotten. The last time I was there - the absolute last time I will ever go there, in fact - the fryolaters were gone! No more frites with fritessaus! Plus, it’s started to look horribly run-down and decrepit. So sad.

I’m so sad to have to do this, but I went a month or so ago and found the fries had gone way downhill, and possibly no longer made from fresh potatoes, like they used to be.
The last time I went there — in the middle of the day, just this past Monday — they were sold out of fries. How is that even possible?
I’m just so disappointed; I really loved this place when it opened last year.

It’s really lovely up there. I’m so glad I finally went.

Going with kids? Although the Met potrays itself as being so very child-friendly, I personally haven’t found it so. Strollers are forbidden from some (but not all) exhibit halls. The last timewe were there, we were scolded by a security guard when my 3 year old daughter was sitting on my husband’s shoulders when she got tired. (Why? We have no idea.)
Don’t get wrong, I’ll still be back again and again with my kid; I just find their “yay, kids!” posturing to be pretty much crap.

I ordered the frites with fritesaus and realized I now had one less reason to visit Holland. They are exactly what fries should be.
In the month or so they’ve been open, I’ve been here, I don’t know, maybe close to a dozen times.
Excellent:
the frites
the ice cream
roast pork bun
grilled cheese
spam musubi
mac and cheese kroket
Not that great:
teriburger (but we might have just gotten a bad one; I’ll try it again)

If you (like me) are a Korean food neophyte - interested but unsure what you like or how to pronounce it - this is the place for you. Load up a plate with a little of whatever looks good and give it all a try.

So much so, I almost don’t want people to know about it.
Basically, it looks like sushi, but it’s not. You can choose beef, tuna, spicy tuna (all the tuna is canned, but it’s good), squid, cheese (!), jalapeño, kimchi, mushroom… and one other one I’m not remembering. It comes with extra pickled radish and a little tub of clear broth—for $4.95. Plus tax.

All I heard about this place was “it’s so good!” and “it’s so cheap!” and “the service is attentive and friendly!”
Well… not so much.
My husband and I had an order of pork dumplings, an order of beef fried rice, and two beers. The dumplings were small - even smaller than I expected - and while the filling was fresh and really tasty, the dumpling dough was just sort of watery and bland. The beef fried rice - fantastic. The bill (with tip): $30 - AND I was hungry again later which just peeved me. Seeing as I could have gone to neighboring Kim-Bob Take Out for half that, I was not happy.
I know I chose “Not worth visitng” but I probably will go back and try it again, maybe try the bibimbap and/or get the dumplings pan-fried instead of steamed. We’ll see.
