I feel a psychic bond with Iceland, even though I hate ice and cold.

My last time to Cannon Beach it rained the whole time I was there, but I still had a blast. Between the unexplained bunnies hopping around outside our motel, mini-golfing for Jesus and the beautiful discomfort inherit to the Oregon Coast you can’t go wrong!

I was less than two years old when my family left Dhahran, and I’ve never been back. The rest of my life has been spent here in rainy, laid-back Portland, OR. Dhahran’s been relegated to a curious footnote in the history of George – something that makes for interesting conversations with new acquaintances, requires me to find an extra piece of identification or two at times, and nulls my eligibility for president.
