This is by far the best theatre I have been to – I don’t remember my visit to the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires b/c I was too young, but the Teatro Argentino in La Plata was amazing!! It is a very old building, which was recently remodeled, so it has a very unique mixture of modern and antique. The acoustics in this place were amazing, but the cast of the show had a lot to do with it as well.
over 5 years agoI loved my visit to San Telmo. We walked there from the obelisco, and found the best antiques market I have been to. There are great cafes and shops in this district of BA, and of course, part of the area considered the birthplace of Tango. Plaza Dorrego is great, hosting milongas on the weekends.
