Oak Island, Lunenburg

My Grandfather’s step-father financed one of the Oak Island explorations in the early 1900’s. As you can imagine he didn’t find anything. ;-)

Ayer's Cliff, Québec Province

It’s been a few years since I’ve been here, but there’s a lodge on Lake Massawippi called the Ripplecove Inn, which has an incredible 4 Diamond Restaurant. I don’t think there’s a more beautiful place to watch the leaves turn in the fall.

Le Botteghe Di Donatello, Firenze

Piazza del Duomo (Via dei Servi corner)

My favorite restaurant in Florence, primarily because of the head waiter Luigi, who is a great guy and speaks five languages. (How many american waiters speak five languages!) Over the years we’ve sent dozens of our friends to see him and they always bring this photo, so he knows that we sent them.

As of last year Luigi was still there, so if you’re near the Duomo in Florence, stop in and see him. Oh and don’t forget the photo!

P.S. Some of you might notice that one of my daughter Alex’s eyes looks a little strange in this photo. It was taken one month before they found a leukemic tumor behind her eye.
