This is one of the more unattractive towns in Mexico. And they had cops on bicycles on the malecon telling kids not to climb on things, which is the kind of thing I expect in the fascistic U.S. and go to free-spirited Mexico to get away from.
over 5 years agoGuanajuato is simply the nicest town that I have seen in the Americas. It is colonial, civilized, clean, and graceful. This is the best city in Mexico to visit as a tourist.
over 5 years agoGuadalajara is a big sprawling city with none of the grace found in the colonial cities. It is one of my least favorite cities in Mexico.
