Riseberga is the site of an old monastery that now only have ruins left. Nearby the second baptist chapel was built in the middle of the 19th century.

The house that hosts the tax authorities (where I worked for a year or so) looks like one of those giant ferries for Finland.

Visit arvikafestivalen in July – it is really an astonishing event with lots of great music ans lots of great people creating a nice atmosphere.

This island is located at the southeast edge of Ålands archipelago. We spent 5 days there some years ago and it was really, really nice. There is absolutely nothing to do and only 3 restauraunts on the island. The baltic sea surrounding the place makes it absolutely perfact for relaxing, reading and just being.

If you want to relax, spend time on the beach, go out dancing and eat great food at the same time Rimini is for you. (The food is way better than any beach anywhere. You walk up from the beach to a random restaurant and it is always good wuality. Probably because the italians go here themselves.)

Now this is a pearl. No tourits and lots of history. (In Italy there is histoy everywhere though….) We spent a couple of hours here last summer on a day trip from Rimini.

This place is awesome. The architecture of the building is great and then it depends on the art on the walls. For us, it was impressionist art, an exhibition with works by Turner, Whistler and Monet. It was great to discover the british side of the impressionist movement.

As a 15 year old I really enjoyed this place. I wouldn’t bother go back though….

Spent a couple of days here back in 1994. Just brilliant. Compared to Paris this is older and much more alive.

Guess what – I live here.

• it is a suburb and 20/50 minutes by car/commuting to downtown stockholm,
• not much is happening,
• serious shopping is in malls only etc.

• the forest is close,
• there is a lake you can swim in pretty close,
• it is possible to have a car,
• there is another lake you can skate on in the winter.
