We stayed in Merida and used it as our home base as we took day trips to Uxmal and Tulum and the surrounding areas. Cute shops. Great place to buy a handmade hammock or a jipijapa/panama hat. I believe we stayed at the Hacienda Inn or something like that. It was nice. Lots of children panhandling outside the church. Took a horse carriage tour around the city. That was pretty interesting!

I really liked Uxmal because you can climb all over the ruins and explore to your hearts content. We stayed in the town of Merida and then took a bus to Uxmal. I got some fantastic pictures!

Really great ruins. You can only climb on El Castillo though, which I regretably did not do b/c I was hung over and it was like 105 degrees, so I didn’t trust myself going up all those steps without a hand rail! We stayed at the hotel delores alba, which I highly recommend. It is nearby and has excellent accomodations!

Definately worth going to! Right on the edge a cliff overlooking the water. You can climb around and see everything. If you look closely, there are human and animal bones, pot sherds, and other artifacts strewn about – DON’T PICK THEM UP THO! Looting is illegal!

Travelled/Drove from to London to Stonehenge (kind-of lame, but awe-inspiring nonetheless), Bath, Wells, Bristol/Nailsea, Maiden Bradley (had steak&kidney pie there).

Definately go see the house at Tyntesfield! It was beyond amazing!

I met tons of great people in Italy! They are all very accomodating (except that time in Florence when the entire city was booked for some religious convention and I had to sleep in the street and then in the train station when it opened). Good wines, good food! Rome, which I was super excited about was not what I expected, so that was disappointing….

I love love love this country! I have travelled to Frankfurt, Koln (Cologne) (2 times), Gottingen, & Berlin. They were each unique and different! When I was in Koln the first time, there was a free, YES FREE! REM concert in the main platz. Tons of people and tons of beer – it was good times!

Lots of adventure/extreme sports! I suggest going canyoning if in Interlaken! Super fun!

Go see the Gustav Klimt exhibit in Vienna! He is a fantastic artist!

Not many touristy things to do, but great restaurants and nightlife!
