My daughter’s boyfriend lives here and I got to go with her in December 2005. It’s a small city with a rich history. Beautiful church, nice people. Close to San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato.

The day we were there the wind was high and it was freezing. The waves around the lighthouse were huge. After exploring the alien-looking terrain, we enjoyed lobsters at a seaside restaurant. Peggy’s Cove is great!

I went to Charleston in September 2002 for a conference. It was also my 39th birthday. My husband went with me and we had a great time. Charleston is a walking city. You really can’t drive anywhere because there’s no place to park. The battery is beautiful. Enjoyed the tour of Ft. Sumter. Highly recommend Sticky Fingers Ribs and Poogan’s Porch. We took a ghost tour that was a lot of fun. Plenty to do there, great laid-back atmosphere.

The only time I’ve been to Washing DC was in August 1974. I toured the White House the day the Fords were moving in. I’d love to go back sometime.

was in September 2004. We left during the evacuation for Hurricane Ivan. What an experience! I love NOLA and can’t wait to go back. The food, music, architecture, mass of humanity… it’s like no place else on earth.
