So many people I love have come out of Lawrence, KS. I really need to see what it’s all about.

I already love taco trucks more than I should & Gordito’s Too just makes me love them even more. Their tacos are the perfect cheap, small bite I crave. If only they were open later.

Since the great reviews starting pouring in, it became difficult to get a table (especially on a whim, which is how we usually decide on where to eat). If you arrive early enough, you can grab a table in the bar, which doesn’t take reservations. Our service was great, our waiter was enthusiastic and helpful and our food was fantastic!

I had the pear&mozzarella ravioli and others at the table had the risotto and delmonico steak. The rosemary potatoes were crisped perfectly, but weren’t too crunchy. The entire meal was perfectly balanced, especially the tiramisu. Every ingredient was included in perfect proportion.

I can’t wait to go back to try something else!

Go for the gardens, especially when the fountains are “on.” You wouldn’t miss much if you skip the interior, especially if you’re not fond of crowds. Allow plenty of time to explore the gardens fully. Don’t miss The Hamlet (Le Hameau)!
