Niagara Falls

(in Canada > Ontario)

Worth visiting!

The first time I went to this place

The Canadian side of the falls was really better. I went “Behind the Falls” also.

(My photo above is a view from Fallsview Hotel and Casino.)

The US and Canada share this, but God of course takes credit for the beautiful creation.

Oh yah… Niagara-on-the-Lake with all the candy apples and fudge.. . yum yum!

Why I recommend this place to visitors

There’s so many things to do in the Philippines—wakeboard, waterskii, hit the beach, rock climb, cliff dive, hike… and all the usual city stuff like party and enjoying the food.

I can’t really say that my country is at all perfect. In fact, I hate the rainy months so I don’t recommend tourists to visit between July to October. But it’s those typhoons that make the land rich and the beaches become blue, so we needed that.

In terms of the famous ‘women,’ my country isn’t perfect in that, but every country has a red-light district where it’s even legalized. And I feel terrible for men who patronize these prostitutes without even looking in their eyes to see that they don’t like this life. And this goes for all of these exploited women because I’ve seen them in Bangkok, where prostitution is legalized unlike here, and I felt sympathy for them instead of thinking them as a tourist attraction.

Finally, a lot of people in my country know English and are very kind to foreigners. Call it whatever you want but at least as a tourist, you get to have a huge priority for Filipinos here and you don’t have to use any kind of sign language just to get your point across.

Filipinos know English. And they’re exceptional at it. They know better than those who diss their country and spell the word “scenary” (sic).

Give it a chance. It’s very cheap to come here, you know. For foreigners, a few dollars can get you the best looking beach in the planet better than the dollars required in the French Riviera. What have you got to lose?

Japan

(in Asia)
Why I want to go to this place

Japan has everything - a great history, rich culture, technology, weirdness. I’m expecting what I’ve been told to see - past meets the future. They’re probably the only people I know who are very loyal to their culture, own up to it, but don’t dwell on the past too much that they lose track of the future and become too archaic. I mean, they still have to work on some things like being too patriarchal but they seem to be always forward looking.

Besides, the scenery seems excellent! I love to see old temples next to earthquake proof buildings. I’d love to see geisha walking next to someone in Harajuku decked in Hermes and Prada! And I’d love to see that they’re not afraid to be weird!
