What can you do in Santiago while you’re waiting for your night flight? I’ll have about 10 hours to get to know the place. Any suggestions?

A trip to this place is not worth it if you don’t taste the local food (try “soupa de ignolini”, “galetto” and “cuca”) and visit the “colônias” (small properties where people grow grapes).

Don’t forget to take the train trip to Morretes. One of the best images of the Brazilian Tropical Forest.

Try to avoid high season. Traffic may spoil your trip.

It was a breathtaking experience. I understand now why people say it’s one of the world’s wonders of Nature. Everyone should visit Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf at least once in their lifetime.
