Mohegan Sun Casino, Uncasville

This casino swallowed my hometown

I am from Montville, CT, home of Mohegan Sun Casino, and yes I remember what Fort Shantock looked like at night before the blinding glare of the bling bling. No major complaints here though, as is with most towns of Southeastern Connecticut, Montville was a declining town that was once dependent on textile mills along the Thames. The casinos employ quite a lot of people so hooray for that. And in any case, if you’re trying to decide between Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun, definately go to Mohegan Sun. And while you are there, check out the Well’s Dinosaur Haven, just across from the casino on Route 32 and say hello to everyone for me.

Genna's Cocktail Lounge, Madison

best. jukebox. ever.

Well, almost. This is a very cozy bar. It’s not upscale. It’s not a dive. It’s not full of people trying to get your number. It has great selection of beers. Okay, actually, it’s perfect.
