Yes, the smog and traffic can be awful. Once you are prepared to deal with that or take measures to go when it is less crowded, be prepared to enjoy a highly cosmopolitan, history-rich city. The last time I was there was Christmas 2004, and I saw an amazing sight – I could see the surrounding mountains and the nearby volcanoes as many of the chilangos were out of town or simply not driving around. wow!
over 6 years agoThis site is amazing. Even with all the people milling about, and the heat, and the iguanas jumping out of nowhere. It is mind boggling to see the remnants of the rise and fall of civilizations.
over 6 years agoI must go back. I think I went shortly after the cupcake cookbook came out. The lines were not very long and it was a decidely low frills place, with beautiful, tasty cupcakes.
