Venezia, Veneto

A must see before it is gone! by fancyhalfpants

Although Venice is not my #1 spot in Italy due to the tourists, high prices and lack of veggie food – it is one of my favorite places – because i was proposed to there and went back on my honeymoon. It is also fascinating to see. I love getting lost in the streets.

Be prepared for flooding, crowds and walking a lot! It is a great one-full day or overnight excursion.

Roma, Lazio

Love it like I love my mother!

Not only is Rome one of the most amazing places in the world – it is also easy to get around being vegan …. and vegetarian – you don’t even need to think about it!

Non-veggie side – it is magical walking through old streets with houses that are hundreds of years old only to turn a corner and see something THOUSANDS of years old! The 14 year old that we were with said on a couple of occasions – “that isn’t really the original though right?” she couldn’t wrap her head around the fact that the house we were in was 300 years old and walking down the street the only thing she could compare it with was portions of Disneyland. Especially because there are designer shops and upscale restaurants in half of them.

This is a magical city – and THEBESTPLACE IN THEWORLDFOR A NEWYEARSEVE!!!!! – unless you are afraid of crowds and fireworks!

Atlanta, Georgia

Atlanta and the surrounding area was lovely. by fancyhalfpants

The people were nice the city was clean…. I had a hard time with the food being soooooo greasy! I ordered side veggies at one place and even the green beans had bacon in them! And salads – typically ice-burg with ranch.

I’ve heard that the veggie scene is somewhere to be found, but work didn’t allow for the exploration!

I did not go to miami and only passed through Orlando.... by fancyhalfpants

But I’ve been twice and the humid heat and stink and unfriendly folks made me not want to return on both occasions.

Great for veggies! Fun for everyone – but be prepared to “not relax” on your vacation!
