but still go back esp. if family or friends visiting who’ve never been. Maid of Mist ride is highly recommended

Just stopped over in Antigua – stayed at a family friend’s place to save money then crashed the nearby Sandals resort (public) beach during the day to lounge and order food and drinks on the beach… only spent a couple days there but it was beautiful. I think we were near St. Johns.

didn’t see much of it as i spent most of my time at the resort (nude beaches are way over rated..lol), it was nice, warm, went jet skiing which was GREAT – i think the snorkeling and diving in the reef is popular too. Very French (as in from France) which was a bit bizarre… outside the resort, very industrialized – u could almost forget you were in the caribbean in some places. not what i expected at all.

worth it for the drive alone thru the mountains. the town is pretty boring but there are lots of rental chalets, camping and hiking areas nearby and the views are incredible especially in the winter and fall.

I’m not a skier so have only been in summer and fall and there was still lots to do. be sure to go on the huge slide (The Luge) – it’s a great ride! Kids love it too.

but still beautiful… the volcano has become something of a tourist attraction of its own as well…

I miss it horribly and go back often. It’s an incredible city, u can do anything there, eat from any culture, many festivals shows, etc. etc. If you feel the need you can find something interesting to occupy yourself 24/7. Some people have told me they found it unfriendly when they lived there but really you just have to get out and do your own thing. You’ll meet people who share your interests along the way.

beautiful city altho cold as hell in the winter (lived there for a year and barely made it out alive…lol), once u’ve done the mandatory touristy thing in Old Quebec (beautiful and romantic), then venture further out – there are a lot of great places surrounding the city as well.

best Canadian city for culture and fun, festivals run all summer long, great clubs and shopping as well. U can find anything in montreal!
