Cafe Au Soleil

Worth visiting!

The first time I went to this place

I stumbled upon this cafe while wandering around Melbourne. It was fairly full that time, so I walked on. A couple of days later, I saw this same cafe here in 43 things. I was intrigued and made it a point to try it out next time.

I was finally able to try it today and I can safely say that I will DEFINITELY go back! I had the coure (or is it coeur?) madame, which is white organic bread with ham, bechamel sauce, sunny side up on top and a salad on the side. Yup, a glorified ham and cheese sandwich. But it was so good.

Must go back to try their crepes!

A review of this place

I’ve only been to Alona Beach, and I have to say, I was smitten. It’s so peaceful; the perfect place to relax and de-stress.

Will definitely go back!

Marche

(in Italy)
Why I want to go to this place

I first heard about Le Marche when I read Meg Cabot’s Every Boy’s Got One. So I suppose that should’ve been ‘read’ instead of ‘heard.’

Anyway, I loved the book so much, and it got me interested with Le Marche. I googled it, and it does look like a marvelous place to be.

Bangkok

Worth visiting!

Will definitely go back!

Bangkok’s a lot like Manila, which made it easy for me to adapt. Though unlike Manila, it’s easier to get around Bangkok. You should try riding the Chao Praya River express at least once to get around. And the bargains! dies

I *am* going back

Nyahaha! I’ve booked my ticket; May 17 – June 3. I was originally booked to fly home on the 31st of May, but I realized I’ll be too pressed for time.

I can’t wait to eat chicken rice again!

I paid my dues

My train tickets are already paid for (just waiting for the agent to actually BUY it) and I’ve already paid for a deposit for a beach hut. I’m going to Samui!

Cebu

Been there, haven't done everything

The heat was really harsh and it didn’t help that I haven’t slept all that much.

I didn’t quite enjoy my first day, the 2nd day was mediocre (I went to the mall), but my 3rd and last day totally makes up for it: I went to Shangri-La.

Cebu is a city. You can finish the tourist things around the city in a day, and devote the second day at the beach. Other than that, it’s a great and central jump off point to other provinces in Cebu, Visayas and Mindanao.

Malapascua

Unfortunate Christmas

According to the forums I’ve been haunting while researching for places to go, Cebu’s best beaches are either in Bantayan or Malapascua. I’m going to Cebu in 2 weeks, but due to time constraints, I won’t be able to make it to Malapascua.

I was considering schedule another Cebu trip focusing solely on Malapascua later this year, but a Cebuano’s words made me reconsider and wait till next year.

Malapascua, which meaning “Unfortunate Christmas,” does live up to its name. While the sea doesn’t take everybody that travels there around Christmas, the best time to go there is between March – May. Okaaay.

Sold!

Bought my ticket today _^

Since I’m a sucker for road maps, I bought one of Cebu and Mactan island. I also found a hotel I want to stay in; I just have to know if they have available rooms for the dates I’m going to be there.

Whee~~ ^_
