Our flight was delayed, so we got into Vienna very late, around 12:30am. The hostel was just a short subway ride away, and we were stuck at Erdberg station, bought the tickets, and then went down for the train – turns out we just missed the last train of the night!

After an expensive and scary taxi ride, we arrived at our Strawberry Youth Hostel. A nice enough, sufficient hostel.

Vienna was lovely. So much to do, great shopping, friendly people and a real culutred feel to the entire city.

It’s amazing here. Just bring comfy walking shoes, and book a hotel near the station so you don’t need to cart your luggage over the huge bridges!

Milano, Provincia Di Milano

Dirty, Grafitti, Unsafe, Smells

Milano is one of these places that sounds amazing. Not so. In fact, the moment you arrive, you see what a slum it really is. There is grafitti everywhere, the streets are filthy, and almost everywhere you go, there is the smell of dog dirt.

I tried to like the place, but truly, there was nothing there for me. I found the parks to be disgusting, the shopping to be mediocre.

The one good point was, as I was lost trying to get to my hotel, and stuck on a crowded tram, a nice local lady helped me find where to get off.
