Naples

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: Great, relaxing, vaycay...

Okay, its not the greatest place to live by an economical point of view. Its hard to find a decent job and the cost of living has gone up by gazillions in the past 15 years, but oh, to vacation there,,,mm. anyway this site isnt really about moving somewhere for good, its about the sights, the sounds, the vibe. I totally recommend for people who want to relax, relax, eat, relax.

i recommend staying at the cove inn. A vintage, not fancy but clean and reasonably priced. Its the only hotel on the docks, and has and great view of beautiful boats moored in harbor. Footsteps away, eat at the famous, lovely Dock restaurant, stroll tin city. Blocks away, naples beach is great, clean, fancy in some places. The best beach is Clam Pass. A boardwalk ride on a golf court, through a mangrove swamp takes you out to this great beach, with towels, umbrellas, a bar, etc. def worth it. Take a drive down the street along the ocean for breathtaking homes of the rich and famous, check out the beautiful ritz carlton..

Some other posters were complaining of the lack of things to do, i think the beach is plenty. If you are desperate for something to do, check out the fabulous shopping, great boutiques.. At the dock near tin city you can charter boats, go on a guided tour of the fantastic real estate…if you are looking for clubs, lots of nightlife, head to miami. If you want a great beach and quiet…naples is it.

Glacier National Park

Worth visiting!

A must for kids..

I grew up in Montana, and my parents took us to glacier every summer. I use the term summer loosely, as the local saying was “Summer came on a Tuesday this year” yeah, it can be that short. My mom would pack a lunch for my 4 brothers, her and my dad and myself and we would head up the going to the sun road, never knowing what we would see that day. We would get to a certain point in the road where you can pull your car off and we would eat our lunch in the grass, or next to the snow patches on the ground.

The last year before we moved away, my brother, probably 4 or 5 at the time was eating his Yoplait and licking the inside of the cup, when a young deer came up and started licking it too, this was funny to all of us, we werent scared it was very peaceful. He just stood holding his yoplait until the deer was finished and walked away. I will never forget it as a very good day. I cant wait to go back.

A review of this place: Not just about theme parks..

Sure, we live in that constant shadow of just being near theme parks, but most of us dont spend every saturday on space mountain, We do have lots of cool stuff to do in this area.

There is A nice old fashioned downtown with diners serving real food, i recommend Mrs Macs for a great breakfast for practically nothing. Lake Toho, just off main street is the best Bass fishing lake in the south, if not the US. There is a nice park for boating, picnics, a water feature for kids, an ice cream shop and a great covered playground for kids. The lakefront hosts many events during the spring and fall..

Alot of what people see when they come to kissimmee isnt what makes it home to us. Yes, its not very near the beach, not very ritzy, but its got a genuine small town feel. Im not saying i want to die here, but there are certainly things to do that make it worth the trip.
