New York City

Worth visiting!

Untitled

I went here for a weekend about a year ago and it wasn’t nearly long enough to see everything. It was a class trip at my old college to see the church, Opus Dei, featured in The Davinci Code book/movie. It was interesting how they really lived next to the glaring exaggeration used in the book. We had a little bit of free time, but the weather was aweful, cold and rainy, so our main objective was to see what we could on our way back to the hotel in Jersey. :) I definitely want to go back some day soon.

People Mover

Worth visiting!

Untitled

I used to ride the People Mover and the trolley when I was younger with my Grandma. I just remember being scared and not looking over the edge when we’d go over the water. But I still loved it.

Joe Louis Arena

Worth visiting!

The first time I went to this place

Oddly enough, it wasn’t to see a Red Wings game. I went to see Smackdown with a friend from high school. She had an extra ticket so thought why not. She was crazy and I kinda hid my face when she was yelling and cursing (she was in LOVE with Triple H…don’t ask) but I had a good time. I definitely want to catch a Wings game one day.

Greektown

Worth visiting!

The first time I went to this place

I went to eat at one of the many restaurants after my high school’s homecoming dance. It was pretty good.

Comerica Park

Worth visiting!

The first time I went to this place

My older brother and I got free tickets from a teacher and watched a game. It was a great day outside and they won. :)

Belle Isle

Worth visiting!

A review of this place

Belle Isle isn’t anything too special but it has its really pretty spots. You can see the border of Downtown Detroit and Windsor right across the river. If you go at twilight on a really clear night, it’s worth it to watch the sunset. Unfortunately, it gets a little rowdy during the really warm summer days/nights. My family and I used to go a lot when I was younger but not so much anymore because some of the appeal is lost and gone.

Michigan

Worth visiting!

The first time I went to this place

The first time I went to michigan was 12 Jan 1985 at 12:35 am when I was born. :) Yup, born and raised in the state with the thumb. Doesn’t get much better than that…although it probably does.
