Ani gave an awesome, kickass concert… just her, her guitar and a guy playing an upright bass. It was AMAZING. That was the first standing-room-only concert I’d been to so my feets hurt pretty bad toward the end, but it was OH so worth it!

Used to drive through AL many summers as a kid, headed on summer beach vacations. It was always exciting to go through the Mobile Bay Tunnel – we (me & sibs) thought that was awesome. heh… Went to Gulf Shores several times too, and that was cool. Haven’t been there since Katrina, though, so I’m not sure what it looks like. My parents have gone to AL for my dad’s job and they said the Gulf Shores State Park had just been leveled; apparently too damaged to be repaired. But they said the city had gotten pretty metro, in Gulf Shores along the beach and all.
