Newport Tower, Newport

Old Stone Mill

This is the first place we went to on our trip to Newport. It’s cool, nothing to ooh and aah about for hours, but worth the visit.

Gungywamp, Groton

Untitled

It’s a mysterious archeological location in New England. It has features which coincide with a knowledge of astronomy and artifacts suggest it has been built before Colonial times, possibly by unknown settlers as American Indians did not traditionally build with stone. For more on Gungywamp look at the page on Wikipedia

America's Stonehenge, Salem

Untitled

Apparently HP Lovecraft was inspired by it when writing The Dunwich Horror.
