I was born and (mostly) raised in Michigan, but for 4 years of my life I lived in Tokyo, Japan, on Yokota Air Force Base. My father was a high school teacher for the Department of Defense. My family moved there when I was 2. I was really young, so the stuff that I remember either happened in the last 2-3 years there, or from pictures and home videos. From what I do remember, though, Japan is absolutely amazing. It’s just all-around beautiful. The people are beautiful, the scenery is beautiful, the culture is beautiful, the food is amazing (we still eat a lot of Japanese dishes here!). It was just an awesome experience, and I can’t wait to go back and visit some day.
