My City. I love toronto, i love the diversity, the green space, the trees, the shopping. Oh! I love the St. Lawrence Market on bustling Saturday mornings, elbowing around sensable parents with hiking boots buying fresh muscles or amazing cheese.

I love that we have distinct seasons here in Ontario – A solid spring with buds and rain and freshness, hot scortching summers, calm and beautiful and crips falls, and snowy cold winters. I wouldn’t trade the 4 seasons for anything (i do like to get away once in a while!)

St. Barths was one of the stops on our Barefoot cruise and it was my idea of paradise. The people were very friendly when we tried to use our broken school grade french (I think they could tell that we were Canadian), and the beaches were so breathtaking. One of my favorite things about the island is the only way you can get there is a) boat or b) prop plane that has about 100’ of runway before it ends up in the ocean! The prices were expensive, but the food was amazing (thanks Captn’ for suggesting the “local hotspot” for food – Eddie’s).

St. Maarten was the starting point for the Windjammer Barefoot Cruise that my boyfriend and I took in January of 2004. We were only on the island for a day, but I got the impression that there were areas that didn’t welcome vacationers like us. We had a nice time on the beach, but we saw much more beautiful and cultural islands on our cruise:
