In early July 2006, my oceanography class took a trip to the barrier islands of Georgia and a research cruise offshore.
We went to Sapelo Island and profiled the salt marsh near the lighthouse on the south end. We stopped in a convenience store for water and headed for the north shore.
It’s accessible only by ferry (not car ferry, people ferry) that goes to the island @ 9am sharp and leaves at 4:30pm sharp every day.

I have been here many times and each time it’s beautiful. What can I say, I like mountains. At night you can see EVERY star, it’s very peaceful and serene and even writing this makes me miss it.

It’s gorgeous, all of it, or at least all I’ve seen of it. The mountains are awe-inspiring, the people are nice, it’s surreal in a way… really great.

The Stennis Space Center in S. MS is awesome!:) and free!!!

Well, for starters I have long lost relatives there that I got to meet! Which was obviously just awesome. While we were there we visited MonteVerde (cloud forest), Barullio Carillo (spelling?-rain forest), Volcan Poas, Volcan Arenal, San Jose, Alajuela, Samara, Heredia, Mal Pais (a beach), Playa Ubita,and so so many more places. It’s just an awesome place! Yes I would recommend it!
