I’ve been to the Philippines on 3 seperate occassions. The first time, which changed my life, was when I was 9 years old. i had my 10th birthday there. My mothers family is filipino, chinese and spanish, an almost all her sisters and brothers still live there. We went to bring my grandmother back to the states, and to visit our family. its such a beautiful country, i wish i had a scanner so i could post my album online for everyone to look at. We went to manila, panpangawa,naga city, baogio, and cebu. Manila is the capital, which is where most of the family live. Naga city is where my mother and my aunts and uncles grew up, and where my grandmother was a teacher at the local school. My uncle jurly still lives there with his family. baogio is a city in teh mountains of the northern island, is very beautiful. Its not as hot there. Cebu is more tropical than baogio and is hot! It looks almost liek hawaii. I liked it there because of the beaches and the waterfall my mother took me too. it was too high to jump from, but the mist felt really good on my skin and it smelled nice. I dont remember panpangawa very well, other than we had our picture taking with some natives, and we went to the botanical gardens.
