I had a wild adventure working and traveling New Zealand for 3 months. It is an amazing country and I am counting the days until I can return. Each place I visited was unique and interesting. If you enjoy, beauty, adventure and trekking, you will find that New Zealand is quite close to being paradise.

Uluru, Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park

Magical Uluru

I have just returned from a 3 month adventure in Australia. It is quite an enchanting country. Especially the northern territory, where Uluru is located. At first I was just excited about visiting this spectacular geological landmark, but as soon as I arrived in Uluru -Kata Tjuta National Park I felt the larger significance of the site.The land is old and wise, like the people who inhabit it. There exists intense sacred energy. I will never forget the feeling of it. It was a extremely humbling and magical experience. I feel a great happiness that Uluru exists and comforted to know that it will continue to exist for many million more years.
The Uluru Aborignal Cultural Center was fabulous also. Here they have a beautiful video of the 1985 Hand-back ceremony in which the Australian government gave Uluru and surrounding land back to the Anangu people, the traditional land owners.
I would highly recommend visiting this site. The sunrises and sunsets were gorgeous. The people were friendly. The scenery is striking. There is no other place like it.
I am very grateful that I had the opportunity. It was the highlight of my Australia trip. over 5 years ago
