I went to school at Austin College. I hated Sherman at the time, but now that I’m an adult I believe that I’d love to live there. It’s a nice quiet town—a good place to raise a family.
And it has Cellarman’s, the finest pub in the known Universe.
over 5 years agoThe people of Arras were wonderful and friendly. I remember two old ladies who spoke even less English than I speak French spending half an hour trying to help me find an open bank. Neat little town.
over 5 years agoThere are some neat things to see & museums to visit, but Paris isn’t worth visiting. It’s the filthiest city I’ve ever been in (dog dirt covered the streets); the people are rude; and crime is rampant (our bus was robbed, and a woman’s purse was stolen through a window in a bar I was at). The rest of France was very nice indeed, but Paris was not at all pleasant.
