I go here to socialize, chat, and casually draw. Both Vivace locations are great for that. However, this place is in no way condusive to any type of work (creative work, accounting work, programming work, construction work.)

This isn’t a bad thing. Vita is a better place to get down to business; Vivace is a chatty lovely place with comfortable seating. It is a ying/yang thing of complimenting each other and it makes for a more complete neighborhood. (um…i heart capitol hill)

No duplicates, one of a kind / none the same, hand sewn clothing, and friendly service. The store is half studio space half retail. If you don’t like something on a shirt they will change it. They offered to lengthen sleeves on a shirt for me once.

The first shirt i bought from them cost $75 and worth every penny. It is the best shirt in the world, strangers on the street and grocery stores tell me so. In no way is this a shallow comment, their clothes give me extra confidence.

This shirt is so bad ass it deserves the title shirt-over-lord, take that in every sense possible cuz i’d sell my soul for one of their hand made jackets ($300.)

I just bought another shirt from them with a gaint image of Billy Holiday on the back and re-sown seems, oh so hot. It is part of their new men’s line that cost around $25 a pop; again, worth every penny.

The entrance is in the parking lot across from Vita on 10th and Pike. This should save your a block of walking and wondering how to get in.

Yet another place opened on Capitol Hill this week. I went on opening night, large crowd but this is what i gather from the 45 minutes I was there.

Casual Swank

The dance floor is amazing. Add the right music/DJ I will never leave it. With a name like Havannah I am sure they’ll have some amazing dance nights. And hopefully they’ll keep the floor even after last call.

This place is all about style and atmosphere …and food …and drinks. Does them all well; go with friends and enjoy.

Drink Selection: The cocktail menu is just exciting enough to not be intimidating or silly. There was some sort of rhubarb vodka martini that I had never heard of. They were out of the vodka when I went. Some one please comment on the drink when you get it.

Plus for an extra $2 you can get a ‘food pairing’ (their italics, not mine.) Just go ahead and ‘pair’, it is a deal.

Food: ...at that point in the night everything tasted good.

Price: Worth it.

my boss was buying me lunch and the waitress chided me for ordering first, it made me feel at home. my boss made fun of me for the rest of the day.

as for a critique of the food…
i won’t touch anything but the nachos. the nachos are the best nachos on capitol hill. i’ve written poems about those nachos.

Rumor has it that one of the baristas is a lurker here on 43 Places.

I looked in yesterday, it is looking mighty mighty nice. tons of light wood finishes and good lighting. seems like a place one could go for drinks with company; have a great time smiling and talking with no worries. a separate peace if you will.

i look forward to the new capitol hill bar entry.

i just moved a baseball’s throw (me throwing the baseball, not the baseball throwing me) away from The Queen. I will soon be a regular and will dominate this forum with inane tips.

William, one of my favorite bartenders in seattle, works that night and wednesdays. Nicest, friendliest, drink servinest bartender in all of seattle.

He serves a good and proper espresso martini.
