I was born in lovely ol’ Oakley. Not a bad place. Everyone knows everyone. It’s kind of creepy. I miss some of the people there and usually go back every Christmas. I highly recommend eating at Dairy King if it’s open. It usually closes for the winter. Too bad for me, I usually only visit in the winter. Dang. I haven’t eaten there in about three years now. Go to the Fick Fossil Museum, too. You can see some pretty neat things there. My favorite thing to see is the cattle brands burned into the wall. Glee, my family’s in there. Oh, and the theatre isn’t bad either. It’s pretty new and is community-run. Whee.

I lived in GC for quite a few years growing up. It’s not an amazing place, but the best in SW Kansas. But don’t go swimming in the big pool… it’s the public toilet. Yuck. The truck stop at 83 and 50/400 intersection is pretty good. And if you haven’t ever had Sonic (Kansas Ave by Dillons Eastside), go there too. Mmm.

A friend and I had the (I think) 12-egg Southwest Omelette. It had chili in it, anyway. Awesome.
