A beutiful place but tons of tourists at peak season. If you like XC skiing, go in winter and ski to glacier point! Also in winter there’s the Ostrander ski hut that’s a 10 mile backcountry ski from the nearest road.

Chartered a 40’ sailboat for two weeks, sailed from island to island and did some scuba diving. Dove to 80 feet without a wetsuit – the water is super warm!

I’ve done a couple backpacking trips here including these trails: clear creek, boucher, south kaibab, hermit, bright angel, and parts of the tonto trail. I would love to go back and hike more of the trails or even the same ones I’ve already been on.

I’ve hiked it twice – from the west and east. I’d like to do the Mountaineers route and the “East Face” which is a classic climb.

Desert climbing mecca. Last time I was there I followed my friend on “overhang bypass.” I totally freaked out and was wimpering at the crux. Traverses can be harder to follow than lead, depending on how the leader protected the traverse.
