I went on the PJT (Pop Japan Travel) Anime Tour. I admit, I feel a little dorky admitting that I at 19 years old went on an anime tour to Japan. I guess I was..searching for my samurui. No luck there, but I did find a lot of other neat and interesting stuff and people. First of all,I was one of the youngest people on the tour. Most people traveling were between 25-35. Mostly men, but a few girls too.
we traveled all over the nearby areas, but home base was in Shinagawa at the famous Shinagawa Prince Hotel. (easily found on google by the way)
I took little side trips to see Harajuku (of course) for the fashion!
Akibahara, because it is Tokyos electrnoic town, best place for anything you could want that plugs into a wall! Videogame lust for me!
and Shibuya…
We also visited Kyoto.
During my tour we visited Square Enix, and a bunch of traditonal places.
We went to the International Anime Expo! Which was cool and it’s worth mentioning that there was a giant Transformer there.
On my free day,I stayed in the hotel for awhile…
then I went out local shopping, and checked out some of the food.
It was an amazing trip. the food is wonderful and the shopping made me fall over dead.
I also tried Kareoke for the first time there…good stuff. DO IT!
