On the West coast of Vancouver Island is a rugged but beautiful place. I was there once, many years ago. The two towns, Tofino and Uclulet are interesting small towns.

There used to be a lodge there called Wickeninish. Don’t know if its still there.

You quickly learn to cross the street only when a crowd of people are crossing, regardless of what the crosswalk light says. Essentially you ignore the lights and cross when everybody else does. Even then its a bit risky!
