That’s what our friend told us when we decided to visit Acadia – there was a lot to do, and everything was good fun. He was right – we enjoyed everything from hiking to popovers at the Jordan Pond House to making our own lobster feast.
over 7 years agoWe got a “drive yourself, stay in B&Bs where you end up” package, and it was a truly great way to see Ireland, even if you don’t kiss the Blarney Stone (ew!). 1100 kilometers in seven days, and ten rolls of film.
over 7 years agoWe loved our honeymoon in Cozumel precisely because we were not cruise ship-hopping touristy types. Have you eaten Cajun food in Mexico? We did. We also shopped for fresh-made tortillas at the island’s biggest grocery, Jeeped our way over to the far side of the island after a harrowing run-in with a timeshare salesman, and stayed in a lovely non all-inclusive resort that would have felt like home, if home had a bar on the beach and a boat that went diving every day.
